Nigel Tomm is wierd and awesome.

Posted in Uncategorized by grahampaterson on September 20, 2009

It’s almost impossible to find out in useful information about him. I think if there was a wikipedia page about him, he probably deleted it. Really the only place to get kind of information about him is on his wordpress blog nigeltomm.wordpress.com but it really isn’t much help. Click the About Me link and all you get is “Sometimes, out of sheer pleasure, I like to drink my grandpa’s cum” that’s all. He’s a writer, director, musician, photographer, and painter apparently. He actually wrote a fantastic book called The Blah Story which according to Wikipedia is the second longest novel, with 11.3 million words (behind first place’s 17million words) and spans 23 volumes, it contains a 3,609,750 character word made up of many previously know long words, and this is where it gets hilarious, this is a quote from his blog:

(Chicago Tribune) “The Blah Story,” by Nigel Tomm, has a sentence of reportedly 2.4 million words that rambles through Volumes 16, 17, 18 and 19. It was left off because (a) the book is self-published, (b) about a million of those words are “blah” and (c) its literary value is highly questionable. An excerpt: “As no one was blah any blah to blah, and no one blah needed blah, blah quietly blah blah…”

So I looked up one of his other books an Amazon called Kim Kardashian Was Shooting A Sex Tape In The Bambiland When She Confessed To Jessica Alba: I Want To Write A Play About Hairy Bambilla Inside A Pleasuredome (She Failed Due To Shopaholism) and amazingly enough Amazon lets you take a look inside and the first sentence goes something like this

Kim Kardashian blah intimidated, she blah to blah blah, where blah and blah passed a blah to Jessica Alba blah.

I haven’t listened to his music or seen any of his movies, but his version of Hamlet has the tagline “This is 63 minutes and 1 second of pure white screen. Nothing less and nothing more. “. His paintings are just square canvasses with one solid colour and funnily enough they look pretty cool.

And finally we get to his photography. His recent photography book is called Famous Photographers Asked Nigel Tomm to Create the Most Famous Photography Book in the World and personally I think it’s freaking awesome. If you read the foreword there’s a paragraph about his work that either seems genius, or a whole lot of bullshit. I dunno what it is about these photos, but they’re just really cool, like they’re really not overly porno, and although they’re scrunched up they’re still sexy,  and it’s hard to stop staring at them. I quite like his what he says about them on his flickr (lower down). You can check out the book here and below are some examples from his flickr which also have really long weird titles like #2 Most Popular Photographers Rape Sexy Amateur Nude Teen Girl as Most Popular Sex Photographer of Popular Porn Art Erotica in Most Popular Super Erotic Act.

I’m Nigel Tomm and the present photo-set is devoted to the most famous and popular nude photos. This is pure sex art and dirty erotica installations without any kind of erotic porn.

My Favourite Artists: Ghostco/Matthew Woodson

Posted in Uncategorized by grahampaterson on September 19, 2009

I’ve been a fan of Ghostco for quite a while now and I always though he stuff was pretty simply (but still awesome) and today when I was looking through his portfolio I noticed his stuff is really insanely detailed. He’s had quite a few big clients too. His sequential stuff like the Every Cowboy Sings a Sad Sad Song at the end of this post is also really cool. Check him out.

My Favourite Artists: Mauro Peruccheti

Posted in Uncategorized by grahampaterson on September 18, 2009

Mauro Peruccheti’s work is a mixture of minimalism and pop, fused together with an elegance and ironic wit that seems typical of a certain kind of Italian sensibility.

He uses various materials such as pigmented resin, chrome and Swarowski crystals  to make his sculptures.

My Favourite Artists: Brian M. Viveros

Posted in Uncategorized by grahampaterson on September 16, 2009

So I’ve got tones of artists I like and I figured I’d share them with the world, starting with Brian Viveros, who I found  this morning via \\\

Celebrated Surrealist fetish/mutilation artist Brian M. Viveros is now utilizing the medium of film to capture the dark and evocative debris that radiates from his mind. Brian is internationally embraced for his erotic paintings and illustrations.
